Our customers tell us that all of this makes for perfect days out on the bike. Everything is taken care of, all you have to do is pedal and soak up the glorious scenery.
September is one of the best months for cycling in the south of France. The heat of summer is starting to ease off and most of the tourists have gone home but everything is still open and the days are long, warm and sunny. This week is about exploring the diverse scenery around St Antonin. We’ll take in dramatic gorges, endless oak forests, tranquil green valleys, austere limestone plateaux, vineyards and medieval villages, with leisurely lunch stops in typical villages cafés. The terrain is mostly quite hilly, but the climbs tend to be gentle; 5% is typical, more than 10% is rare. This means the week isn’t suitable for beginners, but you don’t need to be race fit either. If you cycle regularly and maybe do the odd sportive, you’ll be fine. We make an effort to keep climbs to a minimum by following quiet valley roads as much as possible.
We are happy to run cycling breaks according to your requirements. Dates, duration, itinerary, level of support and routes can all be tailored to suit you. Normally these are for between 6 and 10 people, but other numbers may be possible. Use our contact form to start a conversation…
